This book provides a basic understanding of modelling and provides a breakdown of different type of models. The focus of the book is to work on an example and the hope of the author is to allow people to understanding modelling different type of problems mathematically. The book also goes through a couple of modelling tricks that a reader could use to solve the problem quicker. As it is AIMMS, all the examples are modelled in AIMMS. Is it not agnostic to the type of modelling language

If you are new to optimization and want a good starting book. You are also agnostic to the type of modelling language as well.
Review: what is good & less good?
A good primer to optimization. The fact that it teaches you all the models in AIMMS maybe too restrictive.
